Donuts in the Big Apple

Don't worry, this is a happy story!

I love food. Next to shoes, jewelry, clothes and purses (and the people I love), it is my greatest pleasure! One of my favorite things about the Big Apple is all the delicious and beautiful cuisines to enjoy. While working in NYC over Memorial Day weekend I was able to fulfill a life goal- eating at Donut Plant in Chelsea.

I first made the trek to Chelsea on Memorial Day, applauding myself for being clever enough to avoid the crowds. Avoid the crowds indeed- they were closed for the holiday! If I hadn't been wearing my fabulous new platforms I probably would have walked away looking as sad as I initially felt. Fortunately, there's nothing like a new pair of color blocked, 6 inch heels to help you rebound from disappointment.

Like a good accessory, donuts are beautiful and a delightful addition to a gal's day but aren't the full deal- unless you eat TWO of the famously large donuts from Donut Plant! I enjoyed the vanilla bean yeast donut and the pistachio cake donut. Both were fabulous!
